日本县立广岛大学肖业贵教授讲座通知

肖业贵先生,日本县立广岛大学全职教授,是IEEE CAS Society DSP Technical Committee委員,日本IEICE CAS Technical Committee委員、IEEE、IEICE协会, SICE协会和IPSJ协会会员。他发表学术论文200余篇,包括50篇期刊论文、发明专利2项、数十篇国际会议论文和技术报告等,其中发表在IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech & Language Processing、IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing、IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers等期刊共20余篇。主要研究方向包括:1)主动噪声控制理论及其应用;2)自适应信号处理及其在生物医学系统等方面的应用;3)图像处理和模式识别;4)神经网络及其应用(時系列予測?地震予測)。

 

Talk A

 

Title: Active noise control theory and applications

 

Active noise control (ANC), as one of the cutting-edge technologies, has been paid a lot of attention in recent years. In this talk, after introducing some fundamentals of ANC theory, several recent achievements recognized in the ANC community regarding the ANC system structures and adaptive algorithms are explained in some detail. Focus of my talk is put on the introduction of advanced narrowband ANC systems and sophisticated algorithms that have been proposed and refined by my research group. Interesting real-world applications of ANC is also provided. Finally, some open topics of ANC are discussed.

Title: Linear and nonlinear adaptive noise cancellers and applications

 

Active noise cancellation has many applications in control, biomedical engineering, digital communications, speech signal processing and so forth. In this talk, I will focus on applications to fetal ECG extraction and noise reduction of speech signals. The former has been an important application of adaptive signal processing from the 1970s, but no extraction system has been put into use in medical diagnosis. Some new results obtained in my lab will be presented and explained in some detail. The latter is a relatively new application that enjoys huge potentials for many perspective implementations. It is based on the use of severely polluted air-conducted speech measurements and relatively clean bone-conducted signals.
